Wir möchten gerne einen größeren Kreis auf einen ganz besonderen Termin aufmerksam machen und aus organisatorischen Gründen um eine baldmöglichste Anmeldung/Nachricht zur Teilnahme bitten:

"Stoppt den Krieg - Wege zum Frieden in Afghanistan" (13./14. Oktober, Bonn)

Shukria Haider (Abgeordnete, AFG)

Seit April diesen Jahres bereitet die Kooperation für den Frieden in Zusammenarbeit
mit im Exil lebenden Afghanen und dem internationalen Netzwerk „No to War – No to NATO“ den Friedenskongress 2012 vor. Die Initiative geht auf die Petersberg II Proteste im Dezember 2011 zurück. Schon damals wurde darüber gesprochen einen Friedenskongress zu veranstalten, bei dem eine afghanische Perspektive im Vorergrund steht.

Bei dem Kongress werden national, wie international bekannte ReferentInnen gemeinsam mit den TeilnehmerInnen über Wege zum Frieden in Afghanistan diskutieren und in einen breiten Dialog treten.

Dazu laden Workshops (u.a. mit Assma Nassery, Naqibullah Shorish), Vorträge (u.a. mit Matin Baraki, Claudia Haydt) und Diskussionen ein. Sehr interessant und spannend verspricht auch eine Parlamentariarrunde zu werden, bei der VertreterInnen aller Parteien eingeladen sind und die von Andreas Zumach moderiert wird, der den Politikern sicherlich die ein oder andere interessante Antwort entlocken wird.

Ganz besonders freuen wir uns auf unsere Gäste aus Afghanistan. So dürfen wir u. a. Naqibullah Shorish begrüßen, der als Stammesführer der Kharoti 3 Millionen Afghanen repräsentiert und von allen Parteien, auch der Taliban-Führung, als neutraler Vermittler akzeptiert wird. Des Weiteren tritt als Referentin die Juristin Shukria Haider aus Herat auf, sowie die afghanischen Abgeordneten Farkhunda Zahra Naderi und Fausia Kofi.

Ein ganz besonderes Highlight wird das Konzert des bekannten afghanischen Musikers Delagha Surud sein.

Dear friends and colleagues,

we invite you to the International Peace Congress ‘Stop the war – Ways to Peace in Afghanistan’ at 13/14 October 2012. Place of the congress is the LVR-LandesMuseum in Bonn, Germany.

Currently, representatives of the peace movement arrange an International Peace Congress jointly with groups and organizations of Afghans. The initiative for this congress base upon the Petersberg II protests in December 2011.

Presumably no Afghan within or outside of Afghanistan has failed to be impacted by the war. Now the withdrawal of foreign troops in Afghanistan is being prepared while continuing help is being offered.

The doors to many opportunities have opened for Afghanistan. The civil society of Afghanistan and of the intervention forces want to shape the road to reconciliation, reconstruction and peaceful social development with their own agendas and actions. It will be a long and difficult road to achieve a democratic, self-determined, and social Afghanistan, but the path can only be walked in peace and with the Afghan civil society.

Starting with the demand for an immediate ceasefire and withdrawal of all interventionist forces, Afghan civil society and Afghan exiles discuss with organizations and union of the European civil society pressing questions and the tasks of Afghan development.

Introductorily, speeches to analyse the situation of Afghanistan taking place. In the work shop ‘Obstacles on the way to peace’ actors of the peace movement discuss with the Afghan Member of Parliament Farkhunda Zahra Naderi and Naqibullah Shorish, the representative of the tribe leader of the Kharoti. It follows a parliament round with representatives of the Federal German Parliamentary Groups. The congress ends with the panel discussion ‘How can strategies for peace be realized - issues of actions’ of representatives of the peace movement and Afghan actors of the civil society.
